First ’16 Wednesday Poetry

Black and White

Faint and fading

Dull and dimming

Smiles are pale

Cloying indulgence had gone stale

Photographs are like sick streets

On the window pane where mist sits

Sometimes all the colors come off together

The vibrant sun can’t be captured even in the blur

Sometimes we are trees needing a cup of rain

Sometimes love is hungry without the pain
